I hope this finds you well.
My name is Nick Reeves, and I am humbled and thrilled to be the new Head of School for New Braunfels Christian Academy!
Our family could not be more excited to get there and root ourselves into your community! I have been married to my beautiful wife, Holli, for almost 19 years, and, oh, what a tremendous gift she and our marriage have been. The Lord was kind to entrust us with three amazing kiddos: our son Ethan will be a senior next year, our daughter Addie will be a freshman, and our youngest son Emmett will be a 7th grader.
For all of my professional career, I have been an educator. I started as a teacher and coach in College Station, and, after 10 years of that, I have spent the rest of my time in educational administration in different capacities. Most recently, I have been serving as the Athletic Director and the Director of Spiritual Life at Brazos Christian School in Bryan, Texas.
I recognize, as Dr. Marek has mentioned in several emails, that we are in the midst of unprecedented times. I imagine that we have families all along the spectrum of emotions right now. Some are probably loving being with each other and redeeming some time that has been lost, while others are struggling with loss. Loss of work, loss of loved ones or dear friends, maybe loss of a sense of normalcy. Wherever you are, I just want to remind you of a few promises we have from the Lord: He is near (Philippians 4:5), He is our refuge and fortress (Psalm 91:2), He goes before us (Deuteronomy 31:8), He is working all this together for our good (Romans 8:28) and for His glory!
Our family took some time yesterday to make this video to introduce ourselves. We thought it's always good to put a face with a name. Along with that, we wanted you guys to get a glimpse of who we are and what makes us tick. I invite you to watch and worship along with us!
