Dear Christian Academy Parents and Wildcat students,
As you begin your summer break I can still hear the echoes of a school year gone by. We really did have an amazing year and our students made huge strides forward in their education and Christian worldview understanding. Our children's future still remains our biggest priority as parents and the outcomes we all desire for our children can be found in the time spent on our knees in prayer.
I trust that as you read this correspondence from me, each of you are taking advantage of the summer break and reinforcing many of the things your children were taught this past school year. Be sure and make time to have fun with your kids! It doesn't have to be a trip or some great vacation event, just knock off work early and take them to the park. Build time into your week to have a Family Night where you can play table games or watch a movie together. The best way to encourage summer reading in your child's activities is for you to find a book to read and everybody take 30 minutes to sit in the living room together and read. It is time spent together that strengthens your family and builds a closeness that is more memorable than any vacation.
Along the right hand side of this letter you will find a number of items within your Parent Packet. Look through the packet contents and be sure you have a clear understanding of what we want to put at your disposal so you and our students can be better prepared when the start of school rolls back around in August. Our summer break will fly by before we know it and I trust this information will be helpful.
In closing, I want to make you aware that Summer Fun is in full swing and we have a number of summer camp classes that will be starting at the Secondary campus. Make sure you take advantage and keep your kids involved with something productive. As always, it is a pleasure to partner with you throughout the year in educating, equipping and encouraging your children in faith, excellence and service.
As you continue to settle into a summer routine at your house I would like to share a few sayings from a wise man. Perhaps you will recognize whom I'm speaking of.
Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn. Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise. Lost time is never found again.
For the Audience of One!
