ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

It is mutually important to the applicant and school that students meet a set of minimal requirements to ensure a proper learning environment and give the new student a good chance of success at NBCA. School administrators will evaluate an applicant based on the following requirements:

Preschool and Kindergarten

  • PreK 3/4 applicant must be three by June 1st.
  • PreK 4/5 applicant must be four by August 31st.
  • Kindergarten applicant must be five by August 31st.
  • A parent of applicant must be Christian and actively involved in a local church.
  • Applicant must have a satisfactory conduct record.
  • Applicant must have satisfactory recommendations from current pastor.
  • Parents must interview with the principal.

Grades 1 through 5

  • A parent of applicant must be Christian and actively involved in a local church.
  • Applicant must provide a report card and achievement test results for the previous year.
  • Applicant must have a satisfactory conduct record.
  • Applicant must have satisfactory recommendations from current principal, teacher, and pastor.
  • Applicant must make a satisfactory score on the school entrance test.
  • Parents must interview with the principal.

Grades 6 through 8

  • A parent of applicant must be Christian and actively involved in a local church.
  • Applicant must provide a report card and achievement test results for the previous two years.
  • Applicant must have a satisfactory conduct record.
  • Applicant must have satisfactory recommendations from current principal, teachers, and pastor.
  • Applicant must make a satisfactory score on the school entrance test.
  • Parents and applicant must interview with the principal.

Grades 9 through 12

The students who are considered for enrollment:

  • A parent of applicant must be Christian and actively involved in a local church.
  • Have demonstrated on a standardized test that they are adequately prepared to achieve well in high school.
  • Applicant must provide a report card and achievement test results for the previous two years.
  • Applicant must have a satisfactory conduct record.
  • Applicant must have satisfactory recommendations from current principal, teachers, and pastor.
  • Must have satisfactory grades with no failing marks.
  • Applicant must make a satisfactory score on the school entrance test.
  • Desire to attend New Braunfels Christian Academy and are willing to comply with the school and the Admission Office standards as printed in the handbook.
  • Parents and applicant must interview with the principal.

The New Braunfels Christian Academy's purpose is one of discipleship for our students in partnership with their parents. Thus, we are open to parents/guardians interested in securing a Christian education. The Christian Academy does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, creed or national/ethnic origin; however, we do reserve the right to select students on the basis of academic performance, religious commitment, lifestyle choices, and personal qualifications including a willingness to cooperate with school administration and to abide by its policies. In addition, a student may not be extended an invitation for admission should the parent's/guardian's lifestyle choices be in direct conflict with biblical standards.
